Supremacy came out in ’86, when Twilight 2000 was in its best years.
Here is your chance to be the leader of a Superpower. Your objective is to conquer the world through economic, political and military strategy.
Supremacy is the game where you make decisions that face Superpower leaders today. Should you sell oil or buy grain? Build armies and navies or launch laser stars? Your toughest decision will be: to “nuke” or not to “nuke”.
The key rules of the game appear on the board. This leaves your mind free to think about strategy.
Supremacy is a game for two to six players. It is a game for people who would rather shape the world than be shaped by it.

I recall playing a game of this back in the early ’90s. My recollection is that it’s a “more the merrier” game, since bidding on resources is a major factor — While it technically can be played with as few as two, I’d recommend a minimum of four players. In my sole experience, with three rookie players, we kind of broke the economics through indifferent bidding, and couldn’t afford to maintain sufficient armies to actually battle each other.

The stock market mechanism did not work well and needed modification, either house rules or the expansion that added a deck of cards for random market effects.
